The Long Wait for the Rare Earths

The long period where that internal development of goals and souls remains static with evangelical predation begins with Nickel? and lasts all the way until the development of the internal self resumes with the Lanthanide series. Of course, the externally manifest self (the persona) is growing and developing throughout this period.

An unusual phenomenon occurs because of this: A significant portion of any given population is likely to be in this state of internal development at any given time. None of the external states of persona ever command such a high percentage because people don't tend to stay in any given state for nearly as many years as they remain in evangelical predation as it relates to the internal anima.

Because of this statistical reality, we need to ask the question: Are there sociological, personal or political forces which naturally take advantage of the fact that a statistically significant percent of the population is likely to be at a particular state of internal development at any given time? And: What are the likely attributes of a sociological, personal or political force which evolves to take such advantage (or to fulfill such needs as might grow from such a state)? Finally: Do any other stages of development in the pattern object meet these attributes?

If we can define the attributes likely to fulfill such needs, we can probably assume that they will evolve, especially considering the emergent nature of the elements of the pattern. The primary attribute that such a force must exhibit is the ability to facilitate the development and understanding of sub-entities. A second characteristic is that it must be compatible with evangelical predation, which means it must have immediate benefits to the internal self at the expense of others. A third attribute of such a force is an ability to address itself directly to the internal self or anima or goal.

We'll return later to the question of whether some other part of the periodic table has a natural affinity for providing such a force. But it is clear from this that such a force is likely. It is also clear what its likely attributes are.
