Novice-Work Task Protection
Each element of the Novice's level allows protection of one task from inhibition by the object being forged.
In other words, when a novice's tool or weapon is used in a task, it has a {Novice-Work Task Inhibition
Each element allows the Novice to choose one task to protect. The task must have the same group and series (A or B) on the periodic table as the task being protected.
As the Novice advances through the novitiate, she can add more tasks which can be protected. Thus, by the end of her time as a novice, she should be able to protect up to 18 tasks from the negative effects of her novice work. Of course, no task may be added to this list which is not known in her culture or in her own experience
She has the option on each item she forges to imbue the item with each of these protections. The more she imbues, the longer the item will take to make, but the more valuable it will be.
Note that when you gain a level you must learn the protection from a master who already knows it. This means that someone who learns from a single master will reflect that master's style almost exactly for most of their development, while someone who learns from a variety of sources (as in a guild) will have more options.
