Inspiration

The secondary linear part of the statistic for a character's soul. As with the secondary part of all statistics, Inspiration tends to fluctuate often, reflecting the current state of spiritual fatigue. This, in turn, is reflected in checks, such as die rolls, which ought to be affected by such fatigue.

One of the primary sources of spiritual fatigue is deviation from a character's current (natural) emotion vector. Small deviations produce a small decrease in Inspiration. Larger deviations produce a larger decrease, even spirit death.

Replenishment

Going with the flow of your current emotion vector helps you recover Inspiration at a low rate. Performance which produces emotional responses (in the character herself or in others) can increase this rate. Watching performances can also replenish Inspiration, with the rate determined by the emotional response.

War cries may also help. Or hurt . . . if they're executed well by the other side.
