Inclusive Balances
Each period of any Periodic Object has a balance which defines that level of development. Those balances fall generally into one of two groups (which alternate as development procedes from one balance to the next): Inclusive Balances and Independent Balances.
Inclusive balances are always based on interaction or a feeling of community. They downplay the need for independence and freedom. Interdependence is more important than separateness.
The Inclusive Balances are:
- The Interindividual Balance - which implies a balance between interdependent individuals
- The Interpersonal Balance - which implies a balance between members of an inclusive group
- The Impulsive Balance - which implies a balance within a closely-related group like a family
- The Prenatal Balance - which implies a balance with limited differentiation from an entitiy on which something is totally dependent
