Holly

The fourteenth sacred tree is the holly with any part used for magical purposes. Its leaves are dark green, shiny and stiff with sharp points. A leaf higher on the tree may be less prickly. Its round, red berries appear late in fall and remain brightly colored in winter. The berries (and many parts of the tree) are poisonous.

Holly is the tree of good luck.

Ilex aquifolium

Holly is associated with the letter Tinne of the Ogham alphabet. Holly corresponds to Group IVA? on the Periodic Table (the fourteenth column). This means that it relates to Symbiotic Cooperation, the eco-relation (+,+), and the vocabulary of the current balance. Holly is also associated with tin? and a developmental number of 50.

The magic associated with holly includes all blessings:

  • good luck
  • weather protection
  • purify food
  • haste
  • climbing
  • quick march

These magicks are based on the synergistic effects of good luck and true blessings.
