Elfin Family of Languages
The Elfin family of languages includes:
- Ogham -- used by faeries, nixies and brownies.
- developmental level -- 39
- the trade tongue of the fae
- the connection between magic and language is derived through Ogham (and, indirectly, the connection between magic and the periodic table)
- Cave Elvish -- used by cave elves (sometimes known as "pig dwarvish" although it has strong ties to the elfin family and very little connection to dwarvish)
- developmental level -- 59
- which means it has almost as many phonemes as Human Tongue?, but lacks much of the nuance possible in English with inflection
- High Sylvan -- used by the High Sidhe?
- developmental level -- 82
- which puts it a little more sophisticated (particularly in the subtle phonemes) than human (which is modeled on English)
