Design Patterns
I'm going to list some design patterns here that I find useful. Additions welcome.
- Patterns for Concurrent, Parallel, and Distributed Systems - A compendium of patterns for concurrent programming. Includes stuff like Reactor, Asynchronous Completion Token, Acceptor-Connector, and Object Lifetime Manager, all of which are directly relevant to design problems which occur in !FaerieMUD.
- The Patterns Home Page - A good general Patterns resource, which includes lots and lots of pattern-related links in the 'Pattern Catalog'.
- The Portland Pattern Repository - the (I think) seminal site for many of the best thoughts on the subject.
